A group of anime and manga fans have started a new effort to create an updated, uncluttered directory of sites for the otaku. It’s not a bad idea, but we’ll see how good the execution is.

From the press release:

The Anime Directory, hosted on Googlepages, is a new, quick-linking website directory for fans looking for information about anime, cosplay, manga, and online picture galleries for the Japanese Animation world. The directory is updated frequently and recently (last update November 28, 2007), making site submissions friendly and quick.

The problem is that their captcha script DOESN’T SEEM TO WORK, but once that’s fixed this might be a good resource for fans and webmasters alike.

UPDATE: The captchas are fixed, hooray!
