I was there at the FUNimation panel too and was so surprised to see how packed it was.

I was one of the 5 people in the audience who clapped when someone asked the question about ‘Big Windup!’ because I am really looking forward to buying the show - and I’ve never seen it! (I’m going to be patient and not watch the fansubs). Hearing the FUNi guys talking highly of BW! made me even more excited for its release, as if I already wasn’t enough. I am curious too as to how they’re going to market it since they said that was going to be the biggest challenge, despite it being this AMAZING show that’s so big in Japan right now.

And just to correct you, the show takes place in high school.

Great write-up. FUNimation is my favorite anime distributor. It seems it will be the only company left if ADV doesn’t get it act together.
I’m glad FUNi is picking up Geneon titles. I hope they get the Tenchi Muyo OVAs soon.
