Here’s a fun piece of news. The NY Daily writes that young fashion designer Julie Haus is bringing a bit of manga inspiration to Fashion Week.

The models swap between a hot-pink, a sleek black and a zebra print dress. Haus’ inspiration, books from the manga comic series The Wallflower, are stacked nearby. The main character, Sunako, is an edgy beauty engaged in a search for self. When model Yaoyi Dai of Elite enters the room, Haus spots the essence of the character.

Most of the article doesn’t have much to do with manga, but it’s fun to see the “manga generation” bringing their favorite manga stories into their work lives.
