Fangoria has further information on the upcoming Death Note Live Action movie. Filming has officially begun, and the director is Shusuke Kaneko. The Shinigami will apparently be portrayed in CGI and animatronic versions as well.

There’s still no further news about the real live actors in this film. Tatsuya Fujiwara is still the only actor I can find confirmation for. I’m eager to find out if the rumors about the actor that will play Raito’s father are true. :icon_cool:

The “virtual” actors for the Shinigami will be done in CGI and with a specially built set of animatronics. The Fangoria article talks about the impressive sight of these models, but it doesn’t include a picture. :icon_cry:

Both Fujiwara and Shusuke Kaneko understand the high expectations given the popularity of the manga. So far, it sounds like things are on the right track.
