Tokyopop and Uclick are making downloadable manga available for mobile phones. Mobile comics are getting more popular, but I wonder about Tokypop’s choice of titles for this move.

Two of the titles, Peach Fuzz and Van Von Hunter, fall into that controversial category of “American Manga”. I wrote about them a while ago. They’re not…bad, I just would’ve liked to have seen a better selection to help launch this new service. Tokyopop has a lot of great manga series (Loveless, GetBackers, etc.) that would have been better choices, methinks.
