It seems there is a trend of companies looking to cash in on the growing popularity of manga. In particular, I’ve seen a lot of firms start targetting the aspiring manga artists. It didn’t really surprise me much when I saw that Wacom, creators of those nifty drawing tablets for pcs and macs, have now released a “manga package”.
The new package from Wacom comes with:
- Graphire4 A6 pen tablet
- Manga Studio 3 debut
- Corel Painter Essentials 2
I wrote about Manga Studio 3 in an earlier article. I’m happy to see that Manga and Anime are getting more attention not just from the standpoint of publishing and broadcasting, but also the manufacturing and creative aspects. There are a lot of budding artists out there that have been inspired by manga and anime, and the software industry is looking to give them all the tools they need.
